The best way to solve homeless is to CARE

C – Contribute, to contribute means to do anything you can do. Think of this as hammy downs, these are things that you have, still in good condition that could be used by others. Clothing, furniture, books, games, old computers and shoes are all things that could be contributed to those in need. Reaching out to local shelters to understand the needs of the area and the frequent visitors. Knowing the kind of seasons your area will experience is important to help provide “emergency kits” that can include weather related items.

A – Advocate ,To advocate means to continue to spread the word. Although it is frustrating to walk the sunny streets of Denver to only be distracted by someone doing drugs in a local park but bye helping these people out to gain access to the resources needed we can hep them during a situation that may be at no fault of their own and also maintain the safety and health of Denver. Listening to the homeless about what is causing them to be there is key to solving everyone’s solution.

R – Reach Out! Always have time to give out that reaching hand. Find a shelter in need of volunteer work. You can sort mail, serve food, wash dishing, donate leftover food.

E – Educate not only yourselves but others about what is causing homelessness. Is it something that can be eliminated and fixed through the knowing the problem and figuring out solutions together.
